Pilanesberg

Pilanesberg National Park is a ‘Big Five’ game reserve located just over two hours from Johannesburg. It is situated in a unique area formed by an extinct, 1300-million-year-old alkaline volcano, one of only three in the world. The park features four concentric rings of mountains and is unique in hosting both springbok and impala, as it spans both the dry Kalahari and wetter bushveld biomes, resulting in a high diversity of flora and fauna.
